Matthew Schleifer is a family lawyer with Unified LLP. He services clients from the firm’s Toronto office.

Matthew assists clients with divorce and separation and has experience assisting clients with complex family matters involving parenting, child support, and spousal support.

Matthew delivers decisive and thorough service for clients. He strives for collaboration to reach sustainable and cost-effective resolutions by employing a pragmatic and results oriented approach to every file. Matthew makes it his priority to help his clients navigate the difficulty of relationship breakdowns by developing a strategy for success. He has developed his skills arguing motions and advocating for clients in conferences and trials. As an advocate, he has successfully appeared before the Superior Court of Justice and Ontario Court of Justice.

Prior to joining the firm, Matthew worked as Duty Counsel in Simcoe County specializing in Family and Criminal Law, providing advice to clients bringing motions in Superior Court, conducting case conferences, and contested bail hearings. Prior to law school, Matthew completed a B.Comm. in Accountancy at Concordia University in Montreal. He is bilingual and provides legal services in French.
