Joel Allen

Joel Allen is an Associate with Unified LLP’s Labour group. Joel practices in the areas of labour law, human rights law, and professional regulation.

Joel obtained his Juris Doctor from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2021. While in law school, Joel advised and represented clients with respect to residential tenancy, poverty law, academic misconduct and academic appeals. He tutored students through the Indigenous, Black & Mi’kmaq Initiative and mentored law students with the Dalhousie Student Advocacy Service.

Joel articled and worked at a large-sized Bay Street firm representing clients on loan and transaction deals. He has since represented clients in labour arbitration and at the Grievance Settlement Board.
